Big Bass Boat

Big Bass Boat surprised me. I expected a five-minute time-waster and ended up spending a whole evening drifting across its lakes. You tap to cast, then time a simple tug-and-reel rhythm to land whatever bites. It sounds basic, but the feel of the line tension is genuinely satisfying once you get the timing down.

Progression comes from your boat and gear. Each catch earns materials you spend on stronger rods, better sonar, and a faster engine that opens up new fishing spots further from shore. I liked that upgrades actually change how you play — a better sonar meant I stopped casting blindly and started hunting the big schools deliberately.

Controls are one-handed and forgiving, which makes it perfect for a couch session. The water and weather shift throughout the day, and rare fish appear at dawn and dusk, so there's a gentle reason to keep coming back. It won't blow you away, but as a relaxing loop it does exactly what it sets out to do.
